Welcome to Oak City Fibers! We’re a small local yarn store that’s been around since November of 2023. We believe in building community within fiber arts and being a safe space for everyone.
We’ve grown a lot over the short time we’ve been open. What started as a dream of Glen Lowery, who founded the store, has blossomed into a caring community of crafters and a sea of beautiful yarn. In January of 2025 the store won Wake Living magazine’s 2025 Reader’s Choice Award for Best New Business, which was testament to our community’s love for OCF.
